ACE at Virginia Randolph

What a great start to the week for our students competing in the Skills USA State competition. We had many students that placed top three in their competitions. Thank you to their teachers who spent the last three days at Virginia Beach with them.

Over 200 Henrico County High Schoolers showed up in a big way for the AFSA Career Fair! From deep-dive questions to networking, these students are ready to ignite their careers in the fire sprinkler industry. Thank you to the AFSA member companies for this opportunity! #AFSA

Our student in Precision Machining came in 2nd place at the Skills USA State competition. Congratulations Colton! Way to represent the ACE at Virginia Randolph.

Lunch Box is back now that our Culinary students are back in our new and amazing kitchen. I know the staff here at the Campus of Virginia Randolph are happy. The students do a great job making lunch for them to purchase. It is such a treat getting a home cooked lunch.

Elementary students recently toured the ACE Center at VR. They gained hands-on experience in a wide array of fields. Whether they were mastering welding or digging into landscaping, the students had an absolutely unforgettable and fun time exploring their career possibilities!

Always a special day when we partner with the Academy of Virginia Randolph to give back to the community. Students and staff helped the Salvation Army get ready to help families in Richmond. @MacBeaton2

Our greenhouse is almost complete. I cannot wait for our students to start using it. They are so excited. I believe the teacher is more excited.

Our District 2 Skills USA officer did an amazing job at the district dinner. Thank you to the students at the ACE Center at Hermitage for preparing a delicious meal. We are proud of each student.

What a great start of the day congratulating our Teacher of the Year, Heather Veneziano. She is an amazing teacher and has a gift of connecting with all learners. Our school is lucky to have her part of our team.

What an amazing two days. We had business partners and county staff conduct mock interviews for all of our students. What a great experience for them. Thank you to all that participated and especially for our wonderful Career Development Facilitators that made it happen.

We had students place on Tuesday at the State Fair competition. What a great opportunity for our students to get ready for District competition and then to the State competitions.

Our Cosmetology students competed at the State Fair today. The students had a lot of fun. We have students competing tomorrow as well in Welding and Automotive.

Cosmetology 2 students learning how to dye/color hair. Learning this skill will get them further in their career.

It is a great day when we get the CTE teachers together for some professional development. I had the privilege to lead a session with the Principals of the other ACE Centers. Teachers discussed Recruiting and Retaining strategies. Thank you ACE at Highland Springs for hosting.

What's the best way to learn about fire protection? By seeing it in action! Our Plumbing and Fire Protection students didn't just study sprinkler systems today. They watched a live demo, learning how different sprinkler heads activate based on temperature.

Great day at our school. Love seeing cross-curricular with our programs. Today Motorsports and Welding worked together. Students helped one another with a variety of tasks.
