Sources: Vanderbilt is endeavoring to sign Mark Byington to a long-term contract extension after back-to-back trips to the NCAA Tournament. Nothing has been signed yet, but the Commodores' administration began working well prior to the coaching carousel to lock up Byington.

@TrillyGilly @JaredStillman Haha! I would submit that our program is in better shape right now than UK’s. Historically, we’re obviously not at your level. But there’s no denying who’s been more successful in the last 5 or 6 seasons. UK has done basically nothing since its last Final Four in 2015.
