CM0102 Challenges

Unlikely scenario in season 11 of my Derby save. We've got @GNev2 as Liverpool manager. To top it off he's refused to give @Carra23 a new contract, leaving him on a month to month deal.

This'd be awkward on the next referee show he presented.

@MartinPlaysCM01 @jtjt008 He has been disliked by the board for 6 or 7 years after he told the press he fancied a move. Didn't impact his form, or his teammates though.

Not sure I have ever seen praising a player backfiring.

My save (just starting the 34th season) has disappeared. Any suggestions to where I might find it?

@MartinPlaysCM01 @blig78 This would make sense but I have kept a lot of records on my save (please don't judge me) and my Player A to Z tells me I have only ever had one D/DM L and he wasn't Dutch.

Has anyone had this (I am in season 33 so itmay be a bug). This is a player I have never heard of and certainly never managed and I get a cut of his transfer. It has followed me getting £210k on the transfer of a former player (about 2.5%) where I didn't have a sell on clause.

@MartinPlaysCM01 @cm0102_ @cm0102legends I think I am going to go with AaB and Denmark as suggested. Is there anyway I can take over both as the same manager from the start of the game?

I'm considering a Scandinavian save (with a pro club) and possibly a Club and Country double? Any tips? This would be with the original game / database. @MartinPlaysCM01 / @cm0102_ / @cm0102legends

I am sure I have never had a player who was unhappy to be substituted before. I always take off my best players (as long as I am 2 goals up).

Not sure one of my players has ever reached this level before. He is the Oliver Kahn regen and I found him with a school search. He has a manager release clause but otherwise I think he has a couple more seasons in him (he has 9 European GK of the year awards as well)

@TheEbfatz I've got some cracking regens who are performing really well - which is good as I have still not spent a penny. The Welsh Anelka is really dragging the squad down as well.

@Wild1Steven You might just have to splurge on 1 key player. Break the wage structure (ie max the signing on fee) for a freebie with loads of caps or is half decent. And then pray! If he gets you even just to the group stages, he'll have paid back the sign on fee 5x over at least.

I often see that whichever league you play, or maybe just have active in a save, becomes dominant in Europe. I want to put that to the test by taking the league with the lowest co-efficient* (Wales) to see whether I can take them up from 39th to the top 5.

Two quick mid-season things. 1) Has anyone ever managed Barry and not won the league? 2) Welcome to the Welsh Anelka. For 3 years he has been the bad apple in the squad. Complaining, upsetting half the squad and wanting to join a bigger club.

Elsewhere; In the UEFA Cup Aberystwyth beat Metalurgs (Latvia ranked 30th) in the QR before falling to Alaves in the 1R (Spain ranked 1st) and Denbigh only just fell to Sion (Switzerland ranked 21st) in the QR. In the Inter-Toto Bangor fell to Pobeda (Macedonia ranked 35th)

There was no improved performance from me, with Barry getting thrashed in the 2nd QR of the Champions Cup to Tirol Innsbruck (Austria ranked 11th) after beating Tirana (Albania ranked 44th) in the 1st QR. A game against Valencia was waiting in the 3rd QR.

@TheEbfatz I'm trying! ;-) I think I need to be less tight (I am 3 years in and still haven't spent a penny).

@Wild1Steven Unless you can go deep into a competition, you won't feel any benefit if other teams are going out early also. Also the coefficients work on a rolling 5 year score so even if you did have a successful season, the coefficient may not rise for a few years.
