@KTLA Clearly @ktla needs to be educated. Under U.S. immigration law, individuals seeking admission or green cards (lawful permanent residence) are generally required to prove they will not rely on the government for subsistence, known as being a "public charge".

@KTLA If you're here in the US legally OR illegally, you should never be a public charge. Publicly-funded assistance programs should only be accessible to American citizens, especially those who have paid into the system with their taxes.
