Mark Denning is a member of the Oneida Nation and a father who lost three children to suicide, untreated mental illness, and opioid addiction. He called for attention to the 1/3 of Indigenous people living in poverty, and for an end to for-profit healthcare. @WisconsinPPC.

When the destroyer came from across the ocean, he wore many faces. He lives here still, maturing into the face of systemic racism, poverty, inequality, ecological devastation and immorality. Today I am standing, saying to you the assembled: Forward together, not one step back.

We’re grateful to Mark Denning of the Sturgeon clan, Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, for holding a mirror to this country by sharing his story at #MoralAssembly2022. In part: Our faith is the responsibility to defend what is sacred, to speak for the unborn and to speak for the dead.
