@MrsCMFrancis Diatomaceous earth FTW! 🙌🏻 totally eliminated our ants.

@GigaBasedDad Yes — if they are believers. I’ve known plenty of each who were (imho), and plenty who were not.

@hannahcenters Always and forever PoA… that scene with the Marauder’s Map is my favorite ever. 🤣🤣🤣

@JakeOlson61 Thank you, Jake, I was personally disgusted by Laura’s take here, and as a parent who flew often with babies, took offense too.
I hope your son is doing well. ❤️🩹

This past August, we were flying cross‑country with our 8‑month‑old son after his sixth round of chemo. His stomach hurt, his little body was exhausted, and he kept letting out that soft, broken whine babies make when they’re uncomfortable but trying so hard to settle. Not screaming. Not throwing a fit. Just hurting in the only way he knew how.
In front of us was a family taking their daughter to SMU’s freshman welcome week. Their biggest stress was how she was going to fit all her clothes in her dorm room — and she was the one who kept turning around. Every few minutes, this privileged freshman would glare at my wife like our son was ruining her trip and her wardrobe planning.
It lasted maybe 30 minutes before he fell asleep. But the way those looks made my wife feel… man. I’ll be honest — I was praying she got a nightmare roommate who “borrowed” every outfit she brought.
That flight reminded me of something important:
you never know what that baby is going through,
you never know what those parents are carrying,
and you never know what that tiny cry is coming from.
So yeah, maybe a baby whining on a plane is annoying. But sometimes that sound is coming from a kid fighting battles you can’t see — and parents doing everything they can just to make it through the day.
A little grace goes a long way.

Is there anything worse than a crying baby on a plane? I wish parents would control their children. It’s so disruptive. I refuse to believe a baby cries for 10 hours. At some point this is just bad parenting, right?

@HannahWardEdu He burned his butt on the pot that was on the stove, flew back up the chimney, and ran off. Never bothered the pigs again. 🥰 This is my favorite ending and the one I remember best. The wolf gets his comeuppance with a real consequence but doesn’t die either.

@KeruboSk Yes — slimy things (mushrooms, zucchini & yellow squash, eggplant) are no-gos for me. 🤢

@Momsplaining101 Woo hoo!! 🙌🏻
We kept smartphones from our kids until they were 17 — much to their dismay.
“But mom, how old were YOU when YOU got your first phone?”
“34.”
🤭

Or, hear me out, don’t give your kids phones.
The Last Unicorn YouKnow@Scorpio1080
Take the phones away from your kids and make them jump rope and play hopscotch

What a cool story. 😍
Praying you, too, have this Blessed Assurance today. Happy Sunday! 💖✝️🙏🏻

@Lyzlydubs @whodamoose #8 is my favorite of the series — so good, so many excellent quotes/thoughts in it.
English

@whodamoose Narnia forever 💘
Bonus points for Anne of Green Gables (etc) - I didn’t know there were any beyond Avonlea!
English

@whodamoose The complete set of Anne (the last book is my favorite of all of them) is a winner… also, our whole family enjoyed Verne’s 80 Days tome, and Crime and Punishment is a really fun read!

@brittilina You can take your baby AMA if you want to. It’s your baby. 💖😘

*rant*
So her labs yesterday came back with elevated bilirubin. Dr threatened to keep her an extra day for light therapy if she went too high at her next lab draw.
Next lab draw: bili is NOT too high, but she lost weight again (she’s 3 days old, guys) so we might have to keep her here another day until she’s… not losing too much weight? Do they want to keep her for a week or more till she starts gaining again?!
Oh, and to top it off, bc she’s “still losing weight” (like every normal baby does in the first week), they’re upping the amount they bottle feed her stupidly fast and blowing through my pumped supply so I will have to feed her at all the touch times if I don’t want her to have donor milk or formula (and I don’t want to use formula, and they said we couldn’t be reliant on donor milk if we want to be discharged), so now I’m looking at a max of 1.5 hour stretches of sleep at a time.
It’s now been 96 hours since my last full night of sleep before the induction. I’ve gotten maybe 18 hours of sleep.
It feels like this hospital is trying to kidnap my perfectly healthy baby.
Advice welcome.

@adesertdryad Isn’t it awesome? 🤩
Friends can find it here on my website:

I tell ppl: it doesn’t say “cream the butter and the sugar.” It says, “put the butter into a bowl, then put the sugar into the bowl, and mix them until it looks creamy.” 😍 Love it so much!
