We have focused on traumatic events (like harassment) at work for the past 2 weeks. The harmful mental health consequences of these events are real. If you've experienced trauma, it's normal to have negative side effects. Getting help is not shameful - it's self-compassionate.

Trauma can be passed along between significant others. That means that, if you experience trauma at work, your partner might suffer (and vice versa). While solving for trauma at the root is ideal, focusing on showing empathy to one another can promote post-traumatic growth.
