Cameroon🇨🇲 deported over 100,000 thousands Nigerians🇳🇬, yet there wasn’t the same level of outrage or accusations of xenophobia. Why does the conversation around xenophobia seem to focus so heavily on South Africa? 🇿🇦

🇿🇲 Zambia just told the US: No.
$1 billion in health aid.
An April 30 deadline.
Repeated "outreach" from Washington.
Zambia said nothing. Signed nothing. Didn't flinch.
And now the US is complaining to Reuters.
Here's what they won't tell you:
That billion comes with conditions.
Conditions on policy. Conditions on procurement. Conditions on who gets to decide what Zambian health looks like.
Zambia remembered what happened to other countries that took the check without reading the fine print.
No more.
Africa is no longer a clinic where the West writes the prescription and the patient just opens their mouth.
Congratulations, Zambia.
That's not defiance. That's sovereignty.

BREAKING NEWS | A multi-million rand Nigerian cellphone phishing syndicate - operating out of a well-known Durban beachfront hotel - has been cracked by KZN police teams.
Three men from that country have just been arrested, along with two local women.
Members of SAPS KZN Crime Intelligence dealing with commercial, financial and cybercrimes, SAPS KZN Commercial Crime Investigations, Durban Central SAPS and Durban Metro Police Tactical Support Unit worked closely to trace the suspects.
The alleged scammers were operating out of three hotel rooms, booked in the first week of April.
A number of cellphones and laptops - used in the commission of the crimes - have been seized.
The five suspects will be charged with fraud, theft and the contravention of the Cybercrimes Act.
They are expected in court next week.

@ShehuSani SA men don’t care about the bottom of the barrel women who date Nigerian men. Human trafficking ;Drug dealing; Child prostitution & selling drugs to minors; Scammers/fraud. All you are doing is aggravating a very sensitive situation

@townxipclownza @hlabane_26 @AsakyGRN Sound Nigerians are my favourite, this is no hate issue but citizens fighting for their country. We do travel but we go back once the holiday or whatever is done. Very respectful

@AsakyGRN They don’t travel because they were taught not to bother anyone. We are so invested in their affairs. We should be fighting Tinubu not South Africans. They gave us a home in the last 30years and all we do is destroy it like we did back home.

“Since I was born, I have never seen South African. I have been to many cities in the world I have never come across a South African restaurant. I have never seen a South African clothe been sold in the shopping mall. You guys don’t travel? All through my university days, none of us have never had a South African course mate. You guys don’t school abroad.”
