With that said, is there a severe weather risk? Yes, Monday could generate some strong storms. What about later in the week? Uncertain how these mid level lows play out and how the two branches of the jet interact. This is complex stuff.

Our weather pattern will be getting more active Derby week. Be careful of the click baiters that will tell you the end of days are coming. Models simply cannot accurately place mid level lows in a split flow jet 10 days into the future. It is futile.
