This is huge. We've automated > 40% of construction admin w/ agentic workflows. 5 min announcement: youtu.be/Gwbm8BKhvxo This changes the economics of construction. Data centres that build themselves. No more human bottlenecks. It's going to be a WILD ride.

More products are being tracked than ever — but the mix has changed. Chillers, CRAC units, UPS and other DC/medical kit need far less fabrication + fewer installed components than apartments or facades. Fewer items, but logistics becomes the choke point.

Logistics is the new critical path for DCs + major infra. Our multi-year dataset shows a sharp rise in logistics alongside dips in manufacturing + installation — driven by long-lead prefabricated items (data centre, medical equipment etc). Full op-ed ↓ hubs.la/Q03Vx6890

New record - $15B+ of materials now tracked through Matrak’s AI-powered supply chains across 700+ projects worldwide. Early Access customers on Matrak Connect already have us pacing toward a 4× jump in 2026. The future of autonomous construction is arriving fast.
Shane Hodgkins@shodg_y

Huge milestone reported: we've passed $15B of construction products tracked through our AI supply chains, across 700 projects globally. channellife.co.uk/story/matrak-o… We're already on track to 4x that in 2026, via early access customers on Matrak Connect (matrak.com/matrak-connect)

Great session at Circular Disruption - low carbon construction. Great response to our Matrak Connect module - using AI to automate green supply-chains, embodied carbon assessments + supplier/site coordination. Thanks for having me!

@provisionalidea Seeing similar in construction: when AI ties into the source‑of‑truth—POs, delivery dockets, field scans—and flags variances early, it automates both on-the-ground admin + mid-level leadership by keeping things moving. Adoption follows the data, not the hype.

I’m all for rational critique of the AI sector, and measured concerns about bubble risk, but this is neither of those things. Paid enterprise adoption of AI continues to increase (per both commercial and US census data), and much of the sector is in early stages of monetization.

The biggest capital outlay ever, for a product that no one will pay for. OpenAI loses ten billion dollars a quarter. There is no path to profitability for subprime AI. These absurd data centers will stand sentinel over the ruins of our fake economy like moai on Easter Island.

@NewYorker @JohnCassidy Agree broad ROI lags when AI is abstract. In construction, value shows up fast when you connect it to the physical materials trail: match PO↔ASN↔delivery↔install, surface variances early, close the loop with subs. we're seeing 40% labor reduction and it's still early days

An M.I.T. study found that 95% of companies that had invested in A.I. tools were seeing zero return. It jibes with the emerging idea that generative A.I., “in its current incarnation, simply isn’t all it’s been cracked up to be,” @JohnCassidy writes. nyer.cm/FUZwzw8

@Andercot Tight QA cultures *trace*. From heat number to install location, every handoff is recorded. Construction can borrow that playbook: digital chain‑of‑custody across suppliers, plus site‑level confirmations, so safety and schedule don’t rely on paper trails.

The US Navy has managed a total of 273 nuclear reactors, 6200 reactor-years, over 177 million miles, averaging 4 new reactors per year over 70 years. They have done this with a perfect safety record. Zero accidents. Zero injuries, zero deaths, zero environmental pollution.
Andrew Côté@Andercot

The view that the US has stopped producing nuclear reactors is actually pretty inaccurate. Over the last decade the US Navy has commissioned 1-2 new nuclear reactors per year. They currently operate 100 reactors, more than any other org on the planet.

China is decarbonising its materials sector — concrete, steel and building supplies — and Australia has a real opportunity. Thx to thefifthestate! bit.ly/47ACMZf This is the strategic bridge b/w Asia’s decarbonisation and the global infrastructure/ESG wave.
