Not a great inning for Vladdy wasting one your challenges really early on a pitch that was borderline at best and then trying to go to third there.

Cease gets lots of swing and miss on the slider

Gimenez comes up clutch and drives in all 3 runs. Big time game for him and Okamoto who put some great at bats together and looked stellar at third. It’s gonna be really important to get off to a good start too given the strength of the division and the softness of the schedule.

Okamoto looks pretty damn good

I can’t believe the context was the exact same and we saw the exact same thing happen. I don’t want to overreact to one game but given his struggles with the long ball last year and the way it ended, it might be an issue that could snowball.

4 strikeouts in the inning and the home run given up for the blown save. Can’t imagine that’s happened too many times period.
