Third #UnityTip in a row! > Bounding rain with movement. 🌧️📦 As the player-camera moves, particles can simulate... 1. Local: particles move with the camera. 2. World Space: camera moves through particles. The first will look strange because, in the real world, rain doesn't move with you, and the second has limitations in that moving too far/fast outside the emitter will require time for additional particles to spawn. The problem with #2 can be mitigated by using Rate over Distance, but now you'll likely have to spawn a lot more particles. Solution? Loop the SAME particles into a bounding box while simulating world space, thus allowing the emitter to move, spawn particles freely, AND force them to always stay with the player. This can be done via shader (passing each particle's center position through custom vertex streams), or C#. #unity3d #gamedev #indiedev #vfx #realtimevfx

I really want someone to make a spiritual successor to SCP: Containment Breach. I feel like after more than 10 years it still hasn't been topped as the definitive SCP experience. I'd just really like a new site with a completely new set of SCPs, none borrowed from CB.

3/3 I mostly need to work on the teaser trailer, full alpha soundtrack release and finish up the steam page for wishlists. I’ve essentially finished the alpha soundtrack sampler video, which is a little preview of a couple songs from the album with links to the full in the desc.

2/? I’ve made lots of progress in the systems side of things, I just gotta concentrate on environments and enemies. Unfortunately the official announcement will have to be pushed back until next year. I’ve made significant progress towards it since my last post about it,

1/? 2025 has been the busiest year of my life but I’ve also made the most progress on my game this year. The differences from the start to the end of this year are night and day, I managed to fix every visual issue that had been plaguing the game since 2022 in the past few months

question/asking for opinions from any bandcamp users out there- if i want to publish a remaster of an album should i make a new listing or just update the old one? I am split on this

@smileysqueak releasing finished songs is overrated upload a big compilation of your unfinished songs and maybe that will motivate you to continue some of them to completion

One more thing I'd like to add is that my drive and motivation for music has been declining pretty badly. I know this will come to pass eventually. But it's pretty shitty of me to label myself a musician, and literally not release or talk abt much music at all. Sorry abt that.

Hi. Music is coming. Part 2 of SOS is being worked on. I've just been dealing with something. Tried new meds. New meds were bad. Schedule was completely flipped and it got me crazy disoriented. Should be back to normal soon though. Thank you all for being patient :] - :)
