honestly i think our best bet for "getting it right" is just to set up as many different "cells" or "tribes" as possible, each with their own vision for how AIs should be developed and used! this would allow different ideas to compete and evolve in a way that was really adaptive to changing circumstances... and it'd also mean we weren't putting ALL our eggs in one basket! i'm not sure what kind of structure or institution could MAKE this happen, though
