43 years ago today, Pink Floyd released The Final Cut, the last album with Roger Waters, and the band's third number one album. Going under a working title of Spare Bricks, it was originally planned as an album of unused tracks and alternate versions, until news events in the South Atlantic inspired Roger who came up with "A requiem for the post war dream".
