I keep posting bc it makes me unbelievably sad how tainted something that was such a big part of my childhood, my teenage years *and* my fandom experience has been. I grew up with Harry. But I'm an adult now, and I won't choose nostalgia over my support for the trans community.

despite it being a fantasy series sourced from PG children novels nothing about this trailer (color grading, no actual magic shown, lack of whimsy, set design, etc.) is indicative of something that’s marketed at children. on the other hand it’s perfect for infantilized adults

I’ve actually seen him on stage, crazy good actor. I think he’s way too good looking to play Snape who’s described as pale, clapped and evil looking. He doesn’t fit Snape even outside of his race, and just an unnecessary remake from a crazy terf… Bad career choice icl

A lot of what’s presented as uniquely Christian isn’t actually original. Many stories and customs are adapted from earlier beliefs and social practices that existed long before Christianity. It’s often just human traditions later given a religious label.
