Lovely direct arrival to get planes in before the curfew for runway closure (1:40am) and taking advantage of a space

Often direct routes through (I assume) uncontrolled airspaces are given. In this instance it would be briefly descending into uncontrolled airspace.

However sometimes they aren't, and you see instances of this where planes take long indirect arrivals into airports, despite a huge space in arriving aircraft. Of course it makes more sense to follow the procedure to manage merging of traffic when it's busy, but not in this case.

The top route is illegal but I was experimenting how I could further optimise a route I was flying if airspace rules were no factor My eventual legal route is 7 minutes slower than the best I could find. However my illegal route does give you a great example of how winds matter

@PaulMcG2023 2L Pepsi £1 in Asda! Co-op is expensive by design. I only go there when Pepsi is discounted at £1.75 (3 week rotations), I have 50p off Pepsi on the app, and I use my 10% off with youngscot (under 26s)

There's a lot of this around just now where places clearly don't double-check prices. Noticed it in Home Bargains at Strathkelvin Retail Park on Sunday. 1.25l bottle of Pepsi 99p, 500ml also 99p 😂
