@_lynesia yes! i specifically reject being apart of the CC community for this very reason! i'm glad we could see each other clearer and i'm also willing to share resources that can help make ur (or anyone's) pandemic precaution praxis more accessible as mitigations become inaccessible.

[qrt] thank u for clarifying bc u didn't have to! i think the "safer, masked fun" part is nice, aesthetically; however, it also requires a salient follow thru with regard to theory in order for it to be effective.

This too! I also engage in outdoor/home-based cc activities. I only started this other stuff again in 2024. To be real, I refused to keep exclusively risking it all going to work/school/home with ppl that did not mask & exposed me anyway. I know it’s not ideal 😖 just my truth

@deecolonizer Anyway, I know there’s a culture of assuming the worst of strangers online. I’ve also observed the cc community use these convos as a means to establish moral/intellectual superiority rather than a means to connect. So I appreciate this decent exchange stranger

@polygl000000 No, same. And I’ve had so many ppl paint me as paranoid/afraid for trying to live life masked. Also thankful for groups still organizing virtual/masked/outdoor events.

@_lynesia I’m grateful to every single person that makes a post like this. Ppl didn’t have to run w the lie that you could either mask or live your life and we could do better now. I’ve also gone on fun trips, taken fun classes, even gone to parties designed to accommodate masking

@uhheugie I try to do one a month! And I just reeeaaalllyy love live music and miss being a musician. Besides major artists/symphonies, I support a lot of local/indie/smaller artists too so I don’t break the bank either. And I’m good at finding deals 🙂‍↕️

It’s almost like SexEd. Solely focusing on abstinence just isn’t quite as effective messaging as a solid health campaign, sharing resources and info, organizing and creating spaces/a culture that supports safer sex (masking/ventilation/so on). Again, a thought🖐🏽😶🤚🏽 Don’t jump me
