Essentially, what this shows is that all the gains in freedom in the US since the end of Jim Crow have been wiped out in a single year. And there are another three years to go in this presidency.

Bronze Statue of Shiva, in the form of Nataraja (850-1278 CE), belonged to Chola Dynasty, from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India 🇮🇳
Shiva; one of three gods of the Hindu trinity - Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver, and Shiva the Destroyer and Restorer. Hindu god Shiva in his form as dancing god Nataraja is one of the most powerful, enigmatic and graceful bronzes from India. Shiva's cosmic dance drives the eternal cycle of creation, preservation, and destruction. In dance, Shiva conquers the demon of ignorance, which can be seen lying under his foot. With the front hand, Shiva invites worshippers to pay homage to his raised foot. The sculpture first emerged in Chidambaram (a stronghold of Chola kings of South) in 9th Century CE. It was soon adopted by many temples and households as its popularity soared, in throughout medieval and later periods.
There are simply no words to describe this beautiful and iconic pose of Rudra Tandava, in which Shiva reveals truth of universe. With grace and poise, Shiva unleashes his fury in controlled aggression. In the one single movement, he draws us to truth about our existence and eternal cycle of birth and death. By showing abhaya mudra or "do not fear", he asks us not to fear death, for what is to be created, it ought to be destroyed, only in order to be created again. Shiva's left foot is elegantly balanced to right. He stands with one foot resting on dwarf figure of illusion and ignorance over whom he triumphs. Upper hand holds aloft fire from which emerges a ring of destruction. Right hand contains a drum in shape of an hourglass, which is both symbol of the birth of time as well as symbol of creation. Shape of hourglass itself is highly significant as it represents union of male and female.
Snakes that stand for egotism can be seen uncoiling from his arms and legs as his wild hair let loose is matted and bejeweled swirling out into the flames. Goddess Ganga, epitomizing holy river, sits on his hairdo. Idol rests on a lotus pedestal, symbol of creative force of universe. If we look closely, we can see third eye on his forehead, that symbolises his enlightenment.
According to the museum; "Siva dances in an aureole of flame that rises from a lotus pedestal, symbol of primordial being and creation. The arched aureole and its three-tongued flames represent the universe and its ultimate destruction by fire. In his upper right hand Siva holds the drum representing the primordial sound at the creation of the universe; the second right hand makes a gesture of reassurance. His upper left hand holds the flame of destruction. The lower one points to his left foot, refuge of the soul, and shows the path of salvation through Siva's trampling of the demon that personifies ignorance".
