@JulianneWrites_ I’m the same way! I like to focus all my energy on one project at a time even if I have other ideas. I fear it would become too much otherwise!

Am I the only one who is a strictly one-WIP-at-a-time kind of writer? I have other ideas floating around but right now I am way too deep in TBP edits to think about writing anything else. I wish I could juggle multiple but the hyperfocus is reeeaaaal.

@scasswriting Yes because how do you introduce characters and world building in a way that keeps readers hooked? 😭

Writers always complain about the midpoint and the "fun & games" but what about the opening chapters?? I find them so hard and slow and long. All the worldbuilding and character intros and *deep breath* *screams*

@SheenaH33 I heard someone say once that if you don’t get a response in two weeks (from any agent you query) it’s a no. It actually made me laugh out loud at the absurdity 😂

Someone on QT posted a comment saying they nudged an agent after a week of sending a query and then considered it a no when the agent hadn’t responded at 2 weeks. 🤔🧐🤨 I cannot imagine ever being that impatient with agents who have THOUSANDS of queries to get through.

Sitting down to write the synopsis for a book might just be the most daunting task there is 😅

Hello old friend. We meet again. They Call Her Wicked might just be the one. I’m very excited about the attention it’s getting so quickly! My second query turned into a full, plus I’ve had two agents message me for it, and an in-house transfer to another agent in its first week. 😭 It’s basically my brain stuffed into the pages of a book. And the fact that people are interested in it, IN ME, brings tears to my already burning, keratitis eyeballs.

One of my favorite things to do when I go to a bookstore is to I find the shelf and spot where my books will one day (hopefully) sit. Hands down one of the best motivation boosters 🙌🏼
