Yesterday, our ARUA CoE team convened partners at Hotel Boulevard for a deeply engaging workshop on the IDRC Scaling Care Innovations project, “Caring for the Caregivers: Developing a National Policy for Caregivers of Persons Living with NCDs.”

Sustaining this dialogue ensures that the evidence we are generating translates into a policy that is inclusive, feasible, and truly responsive to the lived realities of families across Kenya. Grateful to all partners for the energy, clarity, and collaboration.

Why this conversation must continue: Caregivers are the invisible backbone of our health system, yet their needs, challenges, and contributions often remain unrecognized in policy spaces. As NCD cases rise, the burden on caregivers grows heavier.
