There’s a really good paper on this called Eating the Other: Desire and Resistance. When being Chinese is the minority, many CN diaspora are going to feel uncomfortable when you say ”spiritually Chinese”. There’s a huge difference between appreciating the culture and being CN.

@literallymymelo I think the production team wanted to keep the VA as consistent as possible, and also Hong Hong-er is just about to enlist in the army here, so he is a teenager. Chen Zhang Taikang is absolutely a perfect Hua Cheng though!

@hokeydoodles The tgcf manhua's official weibo acc still hasn't posted anything or made any official announcement. They've pretty much been silent since 2024. 🥲 They've stopped posting as well. However, STARember's studio has already confirmed before that they won't be working on it anymore.

@alliumms If you're trying to extract subs from maoer, here's a very helpful json to srt converter by cami. This only works for eps that have official subs!^^ The milliseconds timestamps from JSON are automatically converted into hh:mm:sss,mmm
