The more I think about it, the more convinced I am that Season 5 accidentally exposed how stupid everyone was in Season 3. Malchemical and Mr. Marathon would’ve killed Homelander at Herogasm. You already had Soldier Boy, Butcher, and Maeve holding him down,add the gas and it’s over. Instead we got 2 more seasons of people acting like Homelander was impossible to stop.
