Took some time to think clearly about the next semester (after having a mini meltdown) and decided that yes, I am taking a break. Creating my syllabus can wait until next week because I have a well thought out plan of action and this is not my first rodeo. Why ruin the holidays?

@jason_loxton So far… As much as possible hope to “lab” outside with Individual sample kits and maps for smaller classes. Larger/rarer samples outside where possible and separated - providing wipes; contingency for large samples are photos / videos.

Geology lab instructors: How are you handling COVID? The norm for most labs here is shared rock kits or stations, w/ students working in groups. How have you handled/planning to handle fall? Assigned groups for term? No group work? Trying to prep for multiple contingencies.

Collecting data along w/ @CBUSU on zero textbook cost courses, to empower CBU students to make informed choices. Really amazed at how many profs have already ditched #textbooks for #OER. Real impact. E.g., physics saved students up to $45,000 this year going OER in 4 courses.
