The sign was real. Stephen Pownall, the man in the original photo, confirmed it was real. Two sitting Reform councillors, Gemma Painter and Lilian Rogers, were photographed at the same canvassing session. Lee Anderson is a sitting MP. He didn't question the image. He didn't seek comment. He published a fabricated picture to discredit evidence of his own party's conduct the day before a by-election. That is not a mistake. That is a choice.
