Our paper out today in Cell Biology reports a new Neanderthal skeleton ("Thorin") from Mandrin (France) and the DNA from it shows that he represents a distinct population that stayed isolated for ~50,000 years in Europe from other Neanderthal groups. cell.com/cell-genomics/…

Congratulations to Dr Chelsea Wiseman who has accepted a three year Lectureship in Maritime Archaeology. Chelsea is currently a Postdoc and will assume her new role in 2024. She becomes the first Australian woman to hold the title Lecturer in Maritime Archaeology at @Flinders
