Highly irresponsible of Khawaja Asif to make statements like this right now. His sentiments are not the issue, the timing is. At a time of heightened tensions, with delegations arriving for peace talks, this kind of rhetoric weakens our position and complicates de-escalation. It hands Israel exactly the narrative it needs to retaliate further.
