@bcubeddd I’ve talked to perhaps one physicist who works in hep-th somewhat like this, but their perspective leaned more philsosohical than actually religious. Most (younger) physicists I know are agnostic.

@ghostowlredux demanding a letter for applying to college seems a bit excessive. in any case they don't need to know oomf intimately. i'd guess the letter should have some words about how oomf is motivated to go to this place and do the work plus possibly subject-relevant information
