How can we actually build network states that work for everyone in our chaotic, rapidly changing world? Here are some takeaways from our discussion with @orbmis from @deca12x: ① Design for Exit and Choice Build systems that let members opt in and opt out freely. Freedom of association is foundational, so offer tools and digital infrastructure that allow people to move between communities without friction or punishment. ② Ship an Open “Civic Stack” that Disintermediates Rent-Seekers Go beyond finance: apply cryptography to legal support, housing / health coverage, comms, and storage. Priorities: private, peer-to-peer messaging; immutable archives; and governance that’s verifiable yet privacy-preserving. Open source it so anyone can run a node and communities aren’t hostage to vendors. This is how we counter both centralised moats and today’s chaos/polarisation with useful, voluntary systems. ③ Focus on Economic and Values Alignment Make sure your network state or organisation aligns both economic incentives and core values. Without both, people may feel trapped or disconnected, like wearing golden handcuffs. ④ Preserve Truth, Not just Data Archiving is necessary but insufficient in a post-truth era; pair durable storage with provenance and verification (e.g., attestations / zk proofs) so truth isn’t drowned by fakes. If possible, anchor the network in physical communities (meetups, local hubs) that practice the culture and iterate the governance in vivo, these communities already exist and scale fractally.

Official Announcement Beaver Builder has received an allocation in the $Linea airdrop intended for Builders. As already mentioned on CT, yes, we did claim our allocation because, even though we believe in @LineaBuild, we are an indie project that received no funding during its development, and the Beaver DAM treasury operates using USDC. We want to thank @LineaBuild for recognizing indie builders like us through this airdrop. It means a lot to the Beaver community and strengthens our motivation to keep building. We will not make any decisions about the future of Beaver Builder before engaging in transparent and cooperative discussions with the community that helped Beaver get to where it is. We’ll share more updates next week.
