@badlogicgames just won a codex pro sub at the hackathon, already feels like 2025 plus sub from a usage perspective token inflation is real :S

@marc_krenn Im too deep into the apple ecosystem. Will be hard to break free, but this looks cool, not sure if its worth the effort tho.

Ok hear me out - wine and codex. We can set this up. Vienna, Munich, Zurich - who be keen? We (that is OpenAI) take over a wine bar and invite you (codex / coding power users) to talk codex and coding.

Steal this idea. Openrouter but with a fixed fee instead of extra 5.5% they charge. Having a single interface for all models is amazing, but charging variable cost for proxying requests seems excessive. Why not charge on per-user basis instead of 5.5% of all spend?

Working on these crazy non-deterministic tools has a lot of ups and downs so it’s awesome to get feedback like this 💪🏻 More invites going out all week 👍🏻

i used source since the start and never the packaged version. also no desktop app and no extra nodes, just the gateway running on my mac studio. i have a hammerspoon widget that shows me the amount of commits i'm behind. i press the button on the right that does git pull pnpm install and restart gateway. 99% of the time it crashes and i have to open a terminal with codex to debug why did it crash. it's always some config issue or something that needs to be ported or idk. codex fixes it most of the time, but every time i wanna update i'm hesitant about it. even people who use the packaged version experience the same (i assumed that would be better because you're not just pulling random commits)

there hasn't been one... ONE openclaw update where it automatically worked without crashing the gateway. ONE.

@thorstenball I read a lot about ppl slowing down and even moving back into the IDE, one project at the time. I remember amp dropped IDE support. What are your thoughts on that?

@thekitze we just aren't there yet with all those orchestration frameworks... you NEED the fast iterations to get proper results otherwise you embrace the slop

Dagobert - Corporate sellout 👔
Could also be like this: 1. goes viral on X because of big audience 2. people and media talk and link to the site 3. people search the name of the product on Google (positive signal) 4. Google starts ranking the site high 5. Viral moment passes but SEO stays long term and gets customers Customers come from SEO but SEO wouldn’t work as well without the audience. Just a theory.
@levelsio@levelsio

@ygg0f @marclou This is bs, my audience aren't my customers They're mostly from Google
