If you’re someone with a gift and you want to take an unconventional path in life, it’s your responsibility to find a way to make money by understanding how your gift fits into the world in a meaningful and needed way so that you can sustain yourself and live a beautiful life.

Please, read books. Not just captions, or carousel posts, or what made it to the top of your feed. Read books. Long ones. Complex ones. You cannot build a mind with weight on the back of social media ephemerals. Intellectual depth demands patience.

You can lead an ordinary life and be an extraordinary writer. And even if you're a mediocre writer, please write. Someone will resonate with your words. We need long form content in this world of slop. I want to see people being earnest and thoughtful.

@tokesNthestars @MindBodyBronx That’s such a good point! I can feel when I feel the need to hermit and privatize (especially with having a 2/4 profile), but staying open is best for us 💙

@blucameron @MindBodyBronx And you both just helped me figure the difference out for wide and narrow, cause Beyoncé is narrow valleys, that’s another reason being so private & revealing stuff in her documentaries or look books works for her. But I’m wide valleys lol we gotta be private but still open.

YouTube is a good one, twitter spaces just to connect or storytell Also depends on if your narrow or wide valleys your approach

valleys people just want to connect! they want to share stories, listen, resonate, relate. but when a markets person slips into valleys, they start acting like one: posting, talking, sharing, vibing without direction, without an ask, without a call to exchange. and the flip side, when a valleys person tries to act like markets, they force exchange before trust. they rush to sell, promote, or teach before their audience even feels safe enough to respond.

if you ever feel disconnected from your audience, it might not be your strategy, it might be your environment.

Valleys just doesn’t need to lead with trying to sell anything. It’s about building up towards it by storytelling, community and conversation. You can share stories, reflections, and lived experiences that people resonate with first. when people feel seen, they’ll ask, “how can I go deeper with you?” & that’s your opening for an offer. Connection first, transaction second.
