Bridge now open after 72 days of construction and 5 weeks ahead of schedule.

Work is continuing on the white marking, verges and signage. Street lighting will be complete early this week.

All surfacing will be complete by the end of the week. Posts for rail fencing are being installed on the west carriageway of the new road.

Tarmac is continuing to be laid on the approach roads and footpaths.

Street lighting is in place on both sides of the bridge. The tie-ins to the roundabout on New Bridge Road are also nearly complete.

Paving to the approach footpaths is also underway and the new entry to the football ground is nearing completion.

The bridge decking is now complete and the team has started widening the approach road on the Northside of the bridge.
