Yesterday, we successfully brought together Bitcoin enthusiasts and the Swedish Tax Agency, shedding light on differing views. The agency argues that Bitcoin isn’t recognized as money due to its lack of a central issuer, widespread acceptance as a medium of exchange, and consistent value stability. Attached is a heatmap showing where Bitcoin is accepted. It's time to broaden our perspective. What's the hold-up, Scandinavia?

3 years ago, during this exact time, i quit my job. i worked for a company that had the worst environment possible. it was a place that truly did not value people i was exploited… making way below minum wage, they paid me $500 a week, 9 hour days, no lunch break, no lunch with coworkers, working weekends with no overtime pay… i remember they would send me on work trips, and i had to pay for everything. i would get 1 day of vacation per month worked, with MAX 3 sick days a year… on top of that, they would constantly criticize my physic, bully me, ask me why i even applied for the job if i couldnt properly "write", that how was it possible that i considered myself a "spanish speaking person" if i write it without mistakes... i would go as far to say i was abused mentally. they were extremely old school, i dont want to sound like a cry baby, but i was geniunely exploited. emotionally. but why did i stay? i was young. i thought i needed to learn life the hard way. i wanted to be “successful”, i thought suffering was part of becoming somebody… its not. some people are just plain mean, rude and bitter. And no job, no "opportunity," no paycheck is worth your health, your mental sanity, your time. well, why am i venting now? because that place closed its doors this week. the same week i left 3 yearws ago. the timing is ironic, but honestly? it’s immaculate. that place was a representation of the system that was put in place to keep us depressed, stressed, tired… anxious.. that place did teach me to stand up for myself, i wish younger me had learned that in a different environment, but it is what it is. glad that hell hole is closed. so to anyone staying somewhere that's breaking you, you don't have to earn your worth by suffering. just LEAVE. Trust yourself. Build something better. I did. And I'd do it again. enjoy a random day of what the environment was like. and the video of me cleaning out things and leaving it behind. a picture of one of my colleagues who got hives from how anxious she got one day from the way they spoke to her.

The perception of Bitcoin is shifting, especially among more sophisticated investors. It’s no longer just speculation. It’s starting to be treated as part of a broader allocation strategy. In Europe, the focus is still on regulation. But capital rarely waits for full clarity. The most interesting moves happen before consensus forms.

For those who paint or have asked me about some of my painting process, here goes: This is the most important part. The start. I'm using a photograph from a modeling session in Prague. I set the photograph up at the same size as the figure I wish to place in the painting. Meaning, I can use the technique where the artist holds his thumb up or a brush and then makes a measurement, steps forward with one brush stroke, steps back, judges... Over and over. It's the same technique I use in a studio with the live model in front of me, so I'm not painting a photograph, I'm painting an image that exists in memory and my mind.

For context: If 5–10% of global wealth moved into Bitcoin, that implies a ~$45–90 trillion market, that corresponds to roughly $2–4 million per BTC. Not a prediction... just math.

If confidence in these properties strengthens, capital will follow. And because Bitcoin starts from such a small base, even a modest reallocation could have an outsized impact.

An interesting question to ask: where is all the money in the world? When you zoom out, you realize that what we typically think of as “money” is actually just a small fraction of global wealth.

The most difficult part of a painting is often the start. You have to think about placement, the background that will eventually be there. The most important thing you can do is to just start. My dad once told me the hardest thing sometimes was the first step.

Visit this year’s Bitcoin Symposium on April 25. I’ll be there together with @knutsvanholm @marcoetp @IoniAppelberg and more. Sweden has a long history of shaping how money evolves. In 1661 we introduced banknotes to Europe. In 1668 we founded the world’s first central bank. Today, we’re one of the most cashless societies in the world. So it’s worth asking: what role will Bitcoin play in the next phase of money? Whether you’re skeptical or curious, this shift will be hard to ignore.

Is ignoring Bitcoin a bigger risk than owning it? I’ve been looking at adoption data from K33 Research, and one thing stood out. Only around 7% of Swedes own Bitcoin today. That means 93% of the population is still on the sidelines. And while the narrative in Sweden often gets stuck on volatility and headlines, the global conversation has already moved on. For companies and investors, this isn’t about hype. It’s about how capital is being allocated in a changing environment. In an inflationary world, Bitcoin is increasingly viewed as a fixed supply asset and a parallel financial system, not just a short term trade. My takeaway: When an asset is globally adopted, structurally improving, and still owned by a small minority locally, it’s usually not too late. It’s just getting started.
