.@DeptofWar is considering several new initiatives to sustain our momentum and continue supporting warriors impacted by the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. We are exploring the following: · Extending the deadline to take advantage of reinstatement by 1 year. · Conducting a fresh round of outreach to the ~8,700 Service members involuntarily discharged under the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. · Issuing a survey to each of these warriors to better understand their interest in returning to service (why or why not) & determine how we can best support them. · Establishing measures to ensure reinstated warriors will not be adversely impacted in the event of future policy changes. Our commitment to correcting past injustices and making our Service members whole remains unwavering.

Here’s an update on my attempt to be reinstated in the United States Space Force after being involuntarily separated for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine: I just got off the phone with the Total Force Service Center. The call was brief and straightforward. Here are the key points: ✅ My case remains open and is in the “queue.” ✅ The Air Force and Space Force have received a memo from @SecDef directing the reinstatement of affected members but have not yet received specific or detailed guidance on how to implement this directive logistically. ✅ I was informed that my case will stay “queued” until the Air Force and Space Force receive detailed instructions from the Department of Defense (DoD) on reinstating impacted individuals. Timeline Update: January 27th, 2025: @POTUS signed an Executive Order (EO) titled “Reinstating Service Members Discharged Under the Military’s COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate.” The Secretary of Defense and Secretary of Homeland Security were given 60 days from this date to report to President Trump on their progress in implementing this order. February 6th, 2025: @SecDef signed a memorandum directing the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (@DoD_USD_PR) to provide detailed guidance to military departments by no later than February 7th, 2025. The memo stated: “This guidance will provide procedures to rapidly reinstate individuals who were involuntarily discharged or voluntarily left to avoid vaccination.” Key Facts: ✅ According to the USAF and USSF, @DoD_USD_PR is currently 25 days past due on delivering the guidance assigned by @SecDef. ✅ President Trump signed the EO on January 27th, 2025. 60 days after this date is March 28th, 2025. ✅ 25 days remain until @SecDef must provide President Trump with an update on the implementation of this EO. #Covid #PresidentTrump #Military #USAF #USSF #USNAVY #ARMY #Marines #CoastGuard
