If everyone knew math, it would be simpler. The other day I looked at TikTok economics vs YouTube, Twitter, Instagram. If you run the numbers on this slice, an account earns between $728 and $1,014. That's not all videos, obviously. Per million views - it can be anywhere from $400 to $1,000. This doesn't mean you should go make brainrot, but it does mean narrowing down if the goal is for the account to earn. 1. You either entertain 2. You either give value 3. You both entertain and give value A simple example of filtering out all hypotheses and ideas.

Tiktok pays $0.40–$1.00 per 1k views. Entertain, educate, or both. That's the whole strategy. 👇

@anytwocardzz true. Also most 'marketing problems' are actually retention problems in disguise.

you need a good product to have marketing problems a product that doesn't do anything interesting yet doesn't need promo marketing amplifies reality, if the reality is average you amplify just that your product is not good enough.

Vanity metrics are the most expensive trap on X. Going viral. Stacking followers. The numbers keep going up. But if none of it converts into clients, What are you actually building? Growth without revenue isn't a business.

I started Cal AI at 29. A mortgage. $40K in student loans. A girlfriend I was supposed to be proposing to that year. When I told my mom and my girlfriend I was quitting, both said the same thing: "What's the worst that could happen?" 18 months later we sold the company.
