shit like this is why i haaateee the Madagascar series. it mythicizes a very REAL African country, its land, its animals. but doesn’t include the people ONCE. doesn’t mention that it’s an actual place ONCE. the empty africa trope is by far my most hated racist trope.

Right, because English song lyrics are always perfectly grammatically correct. And apparently every native English speaker also has a PhD in Korean linguistics, so they can confidently decide exactly what nuance or impression a Korean phrase carries when mixed into English.
