@vineerpasam I don't wanna sound like that guy, but..... Most of the companies that are currently raising are literally cookie cutter SaaS + AI + random vertical Thats the go-to product from a ChatGPT recommendation

@galluzzo_julian AI design vs real designer is so painfully obvious that I agree with you You can spot it immediately I don’t think we are at the stage where you can replicate the complexities and intricacies of a great design with AI You can copy, sure, but not create

@weswinder One of the best pieces of advice I have seen in the past month. I have recreated most of the interesting tools that have been presented to me via Reddit and X Solve a problem for the people that can pay

For the founders out there with minimal sales skills, I’ll share one mistake we made early on We used to explain everything our product did in every sales pitch, but customers do not need your full startup vision Building a product is hard, but explaining it simply when pitching to businesses is even harder Explain the value they will get, in words they already understand KISS

Founder insight Vol. 32 If your startup does not sell to other startups or SaaS companies, Reddit probably should not be a big part of your acquisition strategy Founders love suggesting Reddit because it works for founder-adjacent products, SaaS tools, dev tools, productivity apps, and anything aimed at people who already hang out there But if your customers are not actively looking for solutions on Reddit, you are probably forcing the channel instead of following the market

Great panel at Panathenea yesterday with @LauraModiano and Maya on how the younger generation uses Codex. I’ve been thinking about this for a while: a Codex-like product aimed at younger builders, with more visibility into how things are created so they can learn along the way, build things, and actually have fun doing it. Just throwing the idea out there @thsottiaux

i feel like what's missing is multiplayer agents + open source + discovery feed + built in payments whoever figures this out will make work feel more meritocratic since work and inputs can be proven

@cbovolo Building Twillot! It backs up your bookmarks and tweet history, then uses AI to turn them into a searchable personal knowledge base so nothing gets lost. Would love your rating! twillot.com/en

Currently helping a startup I’m involved with raise its next round. I’ve introduced the CEO to several unicorn founders in his category who have all been extremely impressed with him and blown away by the growth. Several have asked to invest. However, most of the VCs I’ve pinged have been dismissive of the company. It is not AI after all. VCs always know best.

When founders suggest Reddit as a channel to find customers, I feel like what they really mean is “go astroturf a bit”, but they can’t say that part out loud.
