Several tweets atm claiming that "NA orgs fumbled Busio" - they did not. I actually don't think there's a scenario in which he chooses an NA org over going to KC and this is for a myriad of factors (some of which obviously aren't public) and it doesn't have to do with money. "NA is fumbling NA talent over the years" - Again I don't think the orgs or anything is really responsible, rather the players are doing their own research and trying to do things that create the most longevity for themselves. With the current esports market salaries are known to be down, as are budgets for what most teams can afford - What does this mean? Well it means fandom/viewership is suddenly a lot more valuable. This is why CBLoL and their wonderful fandom/community they have for LoL esports is also becoming more and more attractive to some players, some even saying they'd rather play in CBLoL than play in LCS. The ability to have social media numbers/impressions/etc helps you convert into more things, and ultimately some even perceive it as a slingshot. It's already known that the west in unison doesn't actualy care about winning, or you'd have more pool-party-perkz things going on, which funnily enough maybe was one of the last real attempts to make a team vs eastern teams. Players have grown more desiring of just getting money/clout and it's an arms race for it. It doesn't mean some teams don't have a stacked line-up or star players, but individually these seems to be one of the main things happening. Interestingly enough the two teams with powerful/great fandoms in the west right now (KC/MKoi) are funnily the two making aggressive moves for big talent. The Jojo acquisition was (much like KC and Busio) one of the biggest moves a team could've made. LEC/CBLoL just from a glamour perspective looks more appealing to players now. When you combine the fact that coincidentally these "NA Imports" are also being sought after by the orgs w/ the two largest fandoms, it creates an oddly difficult to beat situation. NA this offseason ended up becoming a bizarre money fest in many ways, and some of the news still has yet to even come out.
