A new piece of research from AWS highlights a challenge that does not get enough attention in discussions about agentic AI: what happens after the model generates an answer. The research focuses on what AWS calls the "intent-execution gap", the space between what an AI agent intends to do and what actually happens when it interacts with tools, systems, and real-world environments.
