The great John Whitmore would have been 87 today. At #GoodwoodRevival in 2021, we celebrated him with the John Whitmore trophy, an all-Mini race celebrating his first-ever win in the British Saloon Car Championship in 1961 in his Austin Seven Mini Minor. As you’d expect with a full field of Minis, there was some incredible action. Just watch Endaf Owens drift that mighty Mini out of the Chicane.
