12.5 kilometres road that connects 7 communities in my mum's local government area has been delivered by Gov Alex Chioma Otti. This is the first time ever the people of Ohanze, Ntighauzo, Obete, Umuoha, Oberete, Akrika Obu etc are linked up together with a tarred road. You don't need to do too much to win the heart of Nigerians. Just do the needful and let our people carry your matter for head. Daalų Alex Otti. Dimkpa Asaa ka į bụ.

Your votes actually count. Parts of it gets rigged, but it counts. If it doesn't, politicians won't invest hundreds of millions in vote buying. Rigging is mathematically limited, and if the gap is huge enough, you can't close it. Get your PVC.

Please hear me out. I have a proposition for Ndi Igbo, something bold, cultural, and unifying. What if the South East, alongside Igbo-speaking communities across Nigeria, formed a coalition to host an annual Igbo Masquerade Festival, a grand, rotating celebration of our heritage, held every Christmas season? Imagine a full weekend experience where masquerades from different states and communities come together in one place, not just to perform, but to tell their stories. Because while masquerade is a shared part of our culture, many are deeply unique, some known only within a single town or state. This festival would create a rare opportunity for cultural exchange: Someone from Enugu or Ebonyi could experience the power of the Ikoro masquerade. Someone from Anambra could discover traditions from Anioma or even Igbo-speaking communities in Delta, Rivers, or Benue. We wouldn’t just preserve culture, we would experience it across borders within our own people. To make it even more impactful, the hosting state would rotate each year, Anambra this Christmas, Enugu next, then Imo, Ebonyi, Abia, Anioma, and beyond. This ensures shared ownership, equal visibility, and continuous excitement. But this wouldn’t just be about masquerades. It would be a full cultural festival: Traditional food exhibitions, imagine tasting abacha in one stall, then discovering a completely new dish from another Igbo community. Music, dance, storytelling, and fashion that reflect the diversity within Igbo identity. Spaces for children and young people to learn, connect, and feel proud of their roots. Because if we’re honest, many of our children are growing up disconnected. This gives them something real, exciting, and rooted to look forward to every year. To add energy and anticipation, there could be a friendly competition: The most outstanding masquerade performance wins a major prize. Awards for storytelling, costume design, cultural authenticity, and crowd engagement. And beyond celebration, there’s impact: Revenue generated can be reinvested into tourism development in the host state. Funds can support cultural preservation projects. Scholarships can be awarded to outstanding Igbo students. Over time, this could grow into something massive, drawing visitors not just from across Nigeria, but from the diaspora and beyond. A festival that becomes a global symbol of Igbo identity. At its core, this is about unity. Because when we understand each other’s traditions, we connect more deeply. When we celebrate together, we strengthen the bond that already exists. This isn’t just an event idea, it’s a movement waiting to happen. Retweet so it gets to the right audience.

JUST IN: Abia launches life-saving maternal transport system! Gov. Alex Otti’s admin has rolled out RESMAT (Rural Emergency Services and Maternal Transport System) to significantly reduce maternal and newborn mortality. These ambulances & rapid response are now in key rural LGAs (Bende, Obingwa, Ukwa East) to rush pregnant women & newborns to hospitals within 25-30 mins. Tricycle ambulances were also provided for very tough and narrow roads in the hinterlands too. This is Free emergency rides to cut down maternal & infant deaths drastically. NB: Some un-utilized vehicles donated for Covid-19 Response in 2020-21 have also been deployed for this program. #InvestInAbia

Indomie and Maggi are designed to kill you. Sodium-loaded products without clear warnings and lax regulations. High sodium intake impairs thyroid function by interfering with iodine absorption. Additionally, nearly 25 million Nigerians have some form of Kidney disease.

I have to get a thyroid functionality test because my student years on indomie and aimoye soy sauce may have fucked up my thyroid gland. The doctor I spoke to said that the risk factor is very high for women in Nigeria because of our poorly regulated processed foods. It is well.
