West Ham United’s impending relegation is the result of years of mismanagement and slow decline. The patchwork football club, in the 60k makeshift stadium overtaken by dozens of better run, historically smaller clubs with barely half that. Run with idiotic, short term thinking, by a chairman who knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing. Loyal fans cast aside and treated with total disdain. No plan off the pitch, a confused mess on it, born from a total lack of professionalism and planning. Fighting relegation most seasons, despite regularly spending hundreds of millions (via payday loans) on old players recommended by the owners’ mates. A few memorable seasons with David Moyes papering over the huge cracks in the poorly hidden running track. A decade after we left the Boleyn Ground, WHU has never felt more lost. You’ll see few highlight reels from the club for the upcoming anniversary: for the most part, it’s been a torrid decade in the bowl. If relegation rids us of Sullivan, so be it. But with 100m of debt (how?) and double that owed in player purchases, it could be a long, long time before we’re at this level again. There are so many downright lies across this video from Karren Brady. This is why West Ham fans have been so quick to celebrate her departure from their club, she sold them a dream which wasn’t delivered.

My personal opinion is that someone who is a director of 47+ companies currently with a controlling interest in many others, knows how to run a company and knows about finance. And what about self-promoting "successful" business genius Karren Brady, who literally gets to Lord it over everyone on The Apprentice when she isn't gaslighting fans, was she asleep at the wheel and just didn't realise? I think we have been driven to the brink deliberately and left with a squad so thin that a single key injury means the doomsday scenario is inevitable. Without incliding, let's call them "hidden" revenue streams relating to the club, player transfers and the operating of the stadium, let's take it on face value and say he has invested £15m as Sean calculated. Gold net has invested £7m, so a £22m combined investment for a combined 63.9% shareholding. Tripp Smith paid £10m way back for 10% and now owns 8%, so a £32m investment for 71.9% of the shares Meanwhile, Kretinsky paid £167m for 27%, no wonder he doesn't want to invest more, he overpaid significantly based on a temporary inflation of revenues driven by a few seasons in Europe. Club value based on shareholder capital is £199m without including the 1.1% of Terry Brown and Co, so call it £200m in total just for the sake or argument. The club is laden with debt and owns no real estate, also the training pitches are mortgaged to a loan shark. We have no operating cashflow, we dip into debt to pay wages. For the life of me I cannot see how a club with no assets barring a few players and saddled with huge debt is even worth the £200m in real terms. All of this and Sullivan still rates the club to have a market value of £500-700m; even if the lower number were achieved it would mean a return on their apparent £22m combined investment of 14.5x, a total of £319m. In summary, nobody is paying that and so he won't sell, he would rather invest more and try to take an even bigger controlling stake as it's is likely that Kretinsky won't throw good money after bad. As I've already stated, my opinion is that our transfer dealings are being siphoned off by intermediaries, heavily inflating balance sheet transfer transactions to the point where they are insulting our intelligence (£52m for Taty and Pablo, yeah right). And what happens if we are relegated? Literally every prize asset is sold (likely for undervalued fees as recorded in the books) and who benefits from all those lovely transfer deals, including all the new ones needed to buy second hand offcuts from the Will Salthouse collection? Just a hunch, but it might be a little greedy pornography magnate in a Russian hat, looking after number 1 as he has done his entire life. In the past few days judging by tweets and news stories eminating from the arse of the chosen one, he has asked for the bus to be brought around the front, so his latest scapegoat, Nuno Espirito Santo, can be thrown under it. Nuno is not completely innocent, but he's just the latest victim in the big scheme of things. Look at the partial hand all recent managers have been dealt, they have ALL been set up to fail, and when you buy failed managers you almost inevitably invite failure.
