Most ETH “cypherpunk” discourse is adolescent virtue signalling that hollows the idea out into a branding layer for an ethereum foundation deep in regulatory capture. ETH engineers calling themselves “cypherpunk” is precisely why the ideology failed in the first place. They tell themselves that they’re “cypherpunk” whilst recapitulating tradfi with worse counterparty guarantees. Cypherpunk’s failure has everything to do with the average “programmer” being fundamentally spineless and lacking any sort of principles or taste

@nytimes There's about a 15-point IQ gap (extrapolated from MCAT scores) between Asians enrolled in med schools and blacks enrolled in these institutions. The amount of preferential treatment of blacks and Hispanics in med school admissions is grotesque.
