i think people are looking at $bob the wrong way
everyone sees a meme
i see unfinished bitcoin lore
bitcoin bob has been around for over a decade.
if you’ve been in crypto long enough, you’ve probably seen the videos.
back in 2010, bob was explaining bitcoin when most people thought btc was a joke.
what’s always felt strange to me is that bitcoin bob never really found a home onchain.
there have been attempts.
they all came and went.
this time feels different.
the community found the creator.
they directed fees to him.
he accepted.
now he’s supporting the community, making videos, posting updates, and publicly proving he’s the guy behind bitcoin bob.
that’s what caught my attention.
not the memes.
not the chart.
the fact that for the first time, the creator is actually here.
bitcoin bob isn’t some random character.
he’s part of bitcoin history.
part of bitcoin lore.
a lot of the culture we trade today was built long before most of us got here.
bitcoin bob is one of those artifacts from that era.
so to me, the question isn’t whether $bob is another meme.
it’s how bitcoin bob went this long without a lasting onchain footprint.
maybe the trenches care.
maybe they don’t.
but if they do, i think they’ll eventually realize this was always bigger than a meme.
bitcoin has legends.
bitcoin has lore.
bitcoin bob is part of both.
