2013 in Nashville! Sad to be missing @cschofieldphd in Seattle this year, but 21 year old Siena was right, this was a #bigdeal

@PonziniG Do you want my prep materials? My pep talk document? My decades deep outrage about what a piece of garbage the test is?

@JulianaRestivo @shari_alaina As someone really interested in doing (more) provider work I'd be interested in brainstorming around this!
English

@JulianaRestivo @shari_alaina Of the 3 the ads was the fastest but topped out at like N = 20, director contact worked but took forever and topped out at like 30. I think I got a handful of ppl from Twitter. mTurk panels don't get that fine-grained but I've considered Centiment. It's expensive.

Perinatal mental health researchers📢Can you share your best & tricks for online survey recruitment for pregnant mothers? Social media outreach? MTurk/Prolific? Reaching out to OBGYN offices?
Thank you! #perinatalmentalhealth #perinatalanxiety #postpartumdepression @shari_alaina

@DrTylerJamison 1. Major move
2. Two pregnancy losses

@jacasiegel Our regional undergrad-friendly conference (EPA) does a version of this ($10/day passes to "guests") and it's SO great. My students' parents and HS friends will often come to see their posters or talks. It's also such a good way to get laypeople engaged with psych science!

@jdelucapsych @MelissaErtl @DrAllisonBSmith Thanks for the tag @jdelucapsych! Here's that doc in case folks haven't seen it: docs.google.com/document/d/1y3…

Hi friends! Working on studying for the EPPP. Does anyone have recommendations for a good source for practice tests and materials? Also, curious about experiences of folks who took the #EPPP after an expedited study timeline (like 4-6 weeks).
English

@mattcrayne @lindno Big same. The Albany to Syracuse stretch has been nothing but Roy Rogers and Hudson News for a looooong time.
English

@lindno At this point idc what they put in the rest stops, I just want them to be *open*
English

@courtneyszto @HockeyinSociety I've done this numerous times - sent a DM
English

@PonziniG Agreed!
Wish it explained why they're not publishing an IF haha

Pat Corrigan's work has been foundational for understanding and addressing stigma towards mental illness.
His papers and theories have been some of the most inspiring to me, and his leadership at SaH is incredible!
Check out this journal :)

@PsiChiJor @CraigAnthonyRS @CDelawalla Ok does it get better again? Watched the first episode out of the pods and I'm bored! I feel like zero couples are capable of having an interesting conversation rn 😫
English

@CraigAnthonyRS @CDelawalla @cschofieldphd Omg keep going thru episode 5 and lmk if that changes. To bartise I would agree but still he's doing too much and needs to stop but I loveeeedddd what raven had to say
English

@Jordan_D_Snyder Thanks for sharing! Interested in sharing draft syllabi with @wjmonopoli and me in December to share ideas? I have a final project that I love for the class and some great in-class exercises that might be helpful for y'all, but struggling with dated readings and a meh text
English

@cschofieldphd I use the Cohen Schneider and Tobin text primarily (mheducation.com/highered/produ…). It is an expensive text, and I don't love it either. I use this as a base, and then include other primary articles. Definitely not fully satisfied with the course as of now.
English

@JennCVeilleux Thank you!! Wondering especially about the psych GRE subject test. Assuming thats even lower than that 10% rate?
English

@cschofieldphd I think fewer than 10% are requiring the GRE, per stats provided by our DCT (which I think came from a CUDCP survey?). My university still requires the GRE for fellowships, so we are still yoked to the GRE for those. Sigh.
English

@wjmonopoli Did you use anything aside from that text? Would be happy to swap syllabi drafts in a few weeks if you're game!
