Many of you know that I'm starting in a brand new field of #IoT as part of my "I wish everyone would stop pretending to know everything" campaign I'm going to try and share one thing I learn everyday. A lot of this is probably pretty basic but 🤷‍♀️no one starts knowing everything.

Yesterday at mediation with 4 male attorneys, not only did the mediator refer to me as “Sugar” but also asked if I could get him something for lunch (this was not at my office, hence not my responsibility) like my job is to make sure the men’s tummies are full. It is 2022.

@pwnallthethings You are right, that is a problem. Just as it was a problem to bring over so many visas when there were so many Americans who trained and were passed over. As far as healthcare goes, it's a benefit (like, I would puck A over B because benefit)

FWIW the twitter infrastructure is still serving ads. I mean, I still get mentions from bots selling frequently-questioned financial alternatives backed primarily by computing power and grift

The replies under every engineer tweeting they've just been fired from Twitter are filled with newly verified and incredibly divorced men gloating the engineer will never work again, and tech leads from giant companies offering them jobs.

And this is why security consistently fails. Security is essentially tech debt but SWEd are given a perverse incentive towards fixing it. We need to rethink our inventive structure.
