I have never heard of a coach signing a one-year deal
Jason Quick@jwquick
BREAKING: Micah Nori has agreed to become the head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers, sources tell @TheAthletic. Nori was lead assistant of the Minnesota Timberwolves for the past five years. Nori, 52, signed a one-year deal with team options for each of the next two seasons.

@JonesOnTheNBA Can you imagine Dame AND Giannis on the same team? Unbeatable. Guaranteed Cup.

@SwishBruhYT @JonesOnTheNBA Plus players end up loving the location of PDX once they give it a chance
English

@JonesOnTheNBA It made sense basketball wise, bucks wise, Portland wise, and everyone involved wise. It’s a waste that giannis doesn’t really care about the basketball side a things purely location was the reasoning during this saga

@DouglasTS @kirbyhocutt Yeah, help him all you want. Great. Doesn't mean the consequences should go away.
English

@kirbyhocutt You can do **ALL** of the things you list to support and assist Sorsby while also announcing he will not be allowed to play in games given the gravity of his own actions.
This is meaningless spin, and no one outside of your own fanbase is going to buy one single ounce of it

@BleacherReport The 6th defender is actually an invisible ghost who is repeatedly knocking him down.

Thunder GM Sam Presti on criticism towards SGA:
"He's playing against 6 people. He's got 5 defenders and the 6th defender is social media."

@AndrewNemec It’s quickly becoming a program steeped in a culture of shame & humiliation. It starts at the top with a HC that allows his players to be unruly & out of control and down to the fans that feed off that & are downright filthy & disgusting. Total embarrassment to the state of OR.

This "question" came up on my Twitter feed this morning and I thought, ok ... I'll bite ... I mean, this is a history account after all. So I looked it up.
Below is the first tweet for the Blazers History account. As you can see, it wasn't viewed by anyone but that's ok. And the one comment? That was me putting up a team picture of the 1975/76 team.
Let me tell you about that weekend and how it all started, way back in 2016.
My wife had mentioned to me many times over the years that I should write a book about the Blazers. Having not written on a regular basis since doing so for my HS and college newspapers, I knew that wasn't going to happen. So I thought, I could do a Facebook page and I set one up to chronicle what would be the coming 40th anniversary for the 1977 Champion team. The @77Blazers Twitter account was next.
Our sons came to visit us that Memorial Day weekend in 2016. She had just finished her second round of chemo treatments that month, and I coaxed them to visit that weekend. At some point, while she was napping, the boys and I sat around and I explained what I was going to do, or rather, what I wanted to do, with regard to celebrating the 1976/77 season. I had access to old Oregonian newspapers, and knew I could use that for information, plus the many media guides and magazines that I had collected over the years.
It turns out, that that weekend just happened to be the day that the magical season "started." May 31, 2016 was 40 years to the day that Lenny Wilkens was being released. The rumor of Jack Ramsay being hired, which happened the very next day, would be the tweet for June 1st. This was going to fun!
That summer, I set about everyday looking backwards, with my wife resting nearby. That summer of 1976 just happened to be the last summer we didn't know each other, and yet, the summer of 2016 was the last summer we had together. She would pass away just as the 1976 team was getting ready for training camp, but I had this account to keep my mind occupied. I continued on in her honor, then did the 50-10 season. Then it morphed into what it is today.
I still hear her voice asking, "What happened today?"
