Speaking of writers on the @GratefulDead, I had a goofy thought last night: I was hoping that all my scattered and mostly uncollected writing on that subject doesn't just get forgotten after my death, and then I realized: #Deadheads are great at finding obscure stuff! No worries.

The first hyperlink I ever clicked was probably on the WELL's Gopher server. (Or was it in a program called Lynx or something?) In any case, once I clicked it, I instantly knew it would transform the world, because it was such an intuitive thing to do.

The funniest thing about this is that the one major editorial suggestion from a friend that we ignored was to take out all the stuff about the emerging online #Deadhead world because it was too nerdy. I'm so glad we kept it in.

When I first bought the @GratefulDead's Skull & Roses in 1986, when I was 15, an original pressing from an Ottawa used record store, I stared it this photo for hours while listening to the album. These five guys were the coolest guys on the planet to me then. They still are.
