[🔔ご報告 Announcement - English below 🔔] なんと、あのSierraがOperaを買収しました！ OperaをSierra Japanに変え、今後更に成長させていきます！ SierraのBretは現OpenAI会長も兼任しており、元はSalesforceのCo-CEOを創業者のMarc Benioffとつとめ、その前はTwitterの会長、その前はFacebook（現Meta）のCTO、その前はGoogle mapの生みの親という、生ける伝説。 ClayはAlphabet/GoogleでSunder PichaiにDirect reportだったn-1の役員で、Google workspaceの一連プロダクト（Gmail、Google calendar、Google drive、Meets、等）やLabsを率いてきたヘビーウェイト級。 一緒に仕事してて、非常に楽しいです。 買収に伴い、Opera全メンバーと共にSFに来ていますが、Sierraはプロダクト・人材・顧客のレベルどれをとっても、間違いなく世界最高の会社です。 Operaとしても事業が急成長し非常に面白いフェーズで、そこにこのレバレッジが効かせられること、非常に楽しみにしております。 ここまで我々を信じてくださった、お客様の皆様、チームの皆、株主の皆様、そしてKiyo、本当にありがとうございます！ そしてここからが本番です、更に大きいものをつくっていきます。 Special thanks to Tomo for making this happen :) Time to build! The journey with Kiyo and the team has been incredible. Our contact center AI solution business grew at a speed that we were not imagining. We have no doubt that AI will fundamentally transform how society operates, and Sierra is best positioned to lead that change. Bret from Sierra is a living legend—he currently also serves as Chairman of OpenAI. Previously, he was Co-CEO of Salesforce alongside founder Marc Benioff, before that Chairman of Twitter, before that CTO of Facebook (now Meta), and before that, the creator of Google Maps. Clay was an n-1 executive at Alphabet/Google, directly reporting to Sundar Pichai. He’s a heavyweight who led the suite of Google Workspace products (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Meet, etc.) as well as Labs. The entire Opera team, now Sierra Japan team, is in San Francisco now to join Sierra. The caliber of product, talent, and trust with customers Sierra have built is remarkable.
