This morning, Khaki Lab hosted #AlongTheAquaLine, a talk on how development and heritage can move forward together by architect, researcher, illustrator and PhD scholar Maitri Dore, using Mumbai’s newest Metro line as an example. For the participants, it was an invitation to rediscover the city they commute through and transform everyday travel into a journey through time. She and architect Parineeta Katgaonkar also had a discussion exploring the intersections of infrastructure, urban growth, and cultural memory. The audience was fascinated by stories about the lesser known spots and structures of community significance along the Aqua Line that have existed for more than 100 years.
