A violent mob attacked and killed an #Ahmadi Muslim today in #Karachi. Mr Laeeq Cheema was brutally beaten to death after Friday prayers — simply for his faith. Another shocking example of rising anti-Ahmadi hate in Pakistan. More details: stopthepersecution.org/violent-mob-at…

I am alarmed that Pakistan of Mr Jinnah is becoming an elusive dream particularly after the shameful غنڈا گردی that happened in the parliament. We have buried Quaid-e-Azam in a mausoleum of concrete & have shown fanatical love with Jinnah House Lahore (where he did not live even for a single day). We have also spun a false narrative of 9th May, full of emotions but devoid of substance, all sound & fury signifying nothing, that is being used to demolish his vision of a humanitarian people living under a constitution where all are equal before the law. On his death anniversary I must remind the citizens of my country particularly the armed forces of Pakistan, of his golden words delivered at the Army Staff College in Quetta, on 14 June 1948 while addressing the future leaders of the Army, only three months before his death. My loyal friends of the armed forces you must read the underlined portion below. It was meant for you, was said to you & you have sworn to live by it. This is how we should remember our founder, not on paper of oaths & promises but from the depths of our hearts.
